Learning Guitar Should Be Fun!

We teach kids, teens (9–15), and adults of all ages. Whether you're a complete beginner picking up a guitar for the first time, or an adult who always wanted to learn, our goal is to make every lesson exciting and rewarding. From the very first session, we focus on playing songs you actually like, building confidence, and developing a lifelong love for music. Plus, we offer full-service guitar care to make sure your instrument is always ready to rock.

Hi, I'm Louis LAN!

I've been playing and learning the guitar since 2004. Over the years, my passion has grown across acoustic playing, fingerstyle techniques, teaching students, and even leading guitar clubs!

My absolute biggest goal is to bring the joy of music to everyone. Whether you want to strum your favourite pop songs or learn complex fingerstyle melodies, I'm here to guide you.

Personalised tutoring designed specifically for beginners. We move at your pace, focusing on proper technique, basic chords, and playing your favourite songs in a supportive, fun environment.

Group Lessons

Learning is better with friends! Our small group lessons are a fantastic way to learn rhythm, playing together in time, and getting comfortable making music in a relaxed, team-oriented setting.

Guitar Rentals

Not ready to buy your own instrument yet? No problem! We offer a high-quality instrument rental programme so students can borrow a perfectly sized, well-maintained guitar to practise at home.

Pro Setup & Repair

A guitar that is hard to play makes learning frustrating. We offer professional restringing, action adjustments, and full setups to ensure your guitar sounds beautiful and is easy on the fingers!

What to Expect in Your First Lesson

We keep things simple, relaxed, and fun!

Get Comfortable

We'll show you how to properly hold the guitar, use a pick, and position your hands so playing feels natural.

Learn Your First Chords

No boring textbook theory. We jump right into learning the basic shapes you need to play real songs.

Play to a Beat

By the end of lesson one, we'll be jamming! You'll strum along to a steady rhythm and make actual music.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to buy a guitar before our first lesson?

Not at all! If you aren't ready to purchase an instrument yet, you can easily rent one of our high-quality studio guitars to practise with at home.

How long is each lesson?

Each lesson is a full 1 hour long. We highly recommend our 6-session package ($300)—by the end of those 6 hours, our goal is for you to be able to play and sing a full song!

What styles of music do you teach?

We primarily focus on acoustic guitar. You'll learn acoustic strumming (perfect for singing along to your favourite tunes) and beautiful fingerstyle techniques.

Where do lessons take place?

We're based in Mt Wellington, Auckland. We offer lessons at our place, at your home, or online via video call — whatever works best for you!

What is your cancellation policy?

We kindly ask for at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may forfeit that session. We understand that life happens — just let us know as early as possible via WhatsApp!

Can I get a refund on the 6-session pack?

If you've purchased the 6-session pack and decide it's not for you after the first lesson, we'll refund the remaining sessions at the casual rate. We want you to feel confident booking with us — no lock-in pressure!
